Quinn Ewers Enrolls Early For Buckeyes
The number 1 2022 prospect Quinn Ewers will forgo his senior year, and enroll at Ohio State early for this fall. This will make the already deep quarterback battle even more deep this fall camp, and will certainly shake up a loaded quarterback room. With NIL now in effect, Ewers will be able to make money with his trademark mullet, an already easy marketing device.
Ewers had planned on enrolling early in January, but was able to complete the required coursework to graduate from Southlake Catholic High School.
Ewer will be competing against CJ Stroud, Jack Miller, and Kyle McCord for the starting spot this season. He will have a lot to catch up on, as the other three quarterbacks have already been in winter conditioning, and participated in the Spring Game, but if Ewers is as talented as he is expected to be, he could play this season. He also has the benefit of learning under Day for a season if is not able to start, and will most likely take over for the 2022 season. With his early enrollment, there is no concern of him flipping his commitment to other schools, and he will be eligible for the 2024 NFL draft.
Who ever wins the starting job will have an arsenal of weapons around them, but this new wrinkle definitely will make this fall camp more interesting, and the eyes of the college football world will be watching.
