On a night when the all-time winningest coach in Ohio State history, Thad Matta was honored with a banner in the rafters of the Schottenstein Center, the 16th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes did their best to honor the former coach, but fell short, dropping their first game of the season to the visiting Syracuse Orange 72-62 to drop to 6-1.
