Aaron Scott Jr (2024 CB) commits to Ohio State

Top 100 2024 CB target Aaron Scott Jr. (Springfield, OH) made his college decision on Sunday, July 30th on instagram live, and picked the Buckeyes over Michigan and Oregon. The in-state native  made his decision on his dad’s birthday, who is an Ohio State fan.

Seated at a table with his parents next to him, and his siblings, he faced a book bag and hat combo of Oregon, Michigan and Ohio State from left to right. He picked up the Oregon book bag, tossed it, then the Ohio State book bag, tossed it, and opened up the Michigan book bag which held a #5 OSU jersey which he put on as he made his decision.

When speaking with the Dayton Daily News, Aaron Scott Jr. had this to say about Ohio State. “I grew up watching O State. I’m from Ohio. It’s hard to say no to the school, especially when they’ve been winning. If you’re from Ohio, it’s like how could you not want to go there? Like they got everything you’re looking for.”

Ohio State adds Scott to a 2024 cornerback class that already includes four-stars Bryce West and Miles Lockhart. West, who also is an Ohio native, has been active in recruiting Scott and said in an interview with Eleven Warriors, “We can definitely bring in one of the top defensive classes in the country, because our offense is doing really well, so if we can bring in another guy like him, […] it’s gonna be a great secondary[…]”

Hopefully, this will help bring more defensive recruits to the Buckeyes class as well, who are still hoping to get commits soon from KJ Bolden, Aydin Breland, Dylan Stewart, Eddrick Houston, and Dominick McKinley, among other top targets, to help challenge for the best class in 2024 and hope to overtake Georgia for the top spot.
