Boom! Buckeyes, Jake Diebler Add Talented Transfer Forward

Sean Stewart, a 6-9 227 pound forward has announced his commitment to Jake Diebler and the Buckeyes. Stewart, a Windermere, Florida native heads to Columbus via Duke, where he is a five star transfer and was a McDonald’s All American and the #22 ranked player in the 2023 class. While he played only minimally for the Blue Devils this past season, sitting behind All American Kyle Filipowski, Stewart averaged 2.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in just over 8 minutes per game. He will take on a much bigger role for the Buckeyes in the upcoming season however. Stewart is a highly athletic forward, with tremendous leaping ability who hits the glass at a high level and plays with a high motor. He is an efficient post defender and scorer inside 15 feet and while perimeter shooting is a work in progress, there are reasons to believe he has that ability in him. Stewart will have 3 years of eligibility remaining, although most experts see Stewart as a bonafide NBA prospect in the near future. The Buckeyes have one scholarship remaining and will likely be targeting a wing/forward to round out a roster that on paper looks ready to compete in the upper echelon of the Big Ten.
