Bold Predictions: Iowa
Ohio State versus Iowa is now two days away! As the Buckeyes prepare to try and move to 5-0 for the season, and 2-0 in conference play, here are our bold predictions for the game. What are your bold predictions?
1. Iowa has more punts than first downs.
I am sure there will be a lot of pressure on the Ohio State defense to keep everything in front of them, and especially since Iowa will likely play a lot more 12 to 13 personnel, the Buckeyes will try and stack the box and keep the running game in check as much as they can. As a result of the suffocating defense, the Hawkeyes should be punting a lot this game.
2. Ohio State rushes for 300 yards.
I think Will Howards will still spread the ball around, you have to feed Jeremiah Smith and Emeka Egbuka when you can, but I think to control the line of scrimmage, especially after a lower output game from both TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins, they will feed the two headed monster and show that they can run against the best defenses in the country.
3. The starters dont play past the 4th quarter.
Everyone knows the game next week against Oregon, and to be at their best, the Buckeyes will want to keep their starters healthy as possibly going into that game. They will take control on both sides of the ball, and build up enough of a lead where they can put in the second team units in the 4th quarter and run the clock out.
