Ohio State Lands Transfer Big Man
Ohio State has secured its second transfer addition of the day. After securing a commitment from Justin Pippen earlier this afternoon, former Kentucky center Andrija Jelavic, a 6-foot-11, 235-pound Croatia native has committed to head coach Jake Diebler and the Buckeyes after appearing in 32 games for the Wildcats during the 2025–26 season, where he averaged 5.5 points and 4.0 rebounds in 15.6 minutes per contest.
Before his stint at Kentucky, Jelavic spent two seasons playing professionally with Serbian club KK Mega Basket—the same program known for developing three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic prior to his move to the Denver Nuggets. During his time there, Jelavic averaged 10.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 steals in 29.7 minutes per game, while shooting 48.5 percent from the field, 30.2 percent from three-point range (3.2 attempts per game), and 68.5 percent from the free throw line.
With two years of eligibility remaining, Jelavic is expected to compete with Baylor transfer Josh Ojianwuna for the starting center role, however his skillset and versatility also allows him to slide to play the 4 alongside Ojianwuna or Ivan Njegovan in the frontcourt.
