On August 31st, the Buckeyes football team will return to the field in Ohio Stadium to begin the 2024 campaign. But this weekend, there will be a contest of a different kind. The shot of the inside of the stadium is from this week as crews begin to install grass back into the ‘Shoe. The photo from the west side of the stadium includes some of the 33 refrigerated semis lining up to unload roll after roll of sod on top of the turf. By Saturday the turf will be completely watered, groomed and trimmed for a soccer match.
They are getting for a Premier League matchup between Manchester City and Chelsea this Saturday at Ohio Stadium! We are expecting over 100,000, if you are interested check out TicketMaster for tickets.
