Ohio State Remains 4th Ahead of Showdown Against Penn State

Ohio State edged out a win at home against Nebraska, winning 21-17 but were 25 point favorites before kickoff, and for the time being, it did not hurt them in the standaings. But that can change this week as the head to Happy Valley to face Penn State who is one spot ahead of them. A win on the road would earn their ranking, and help them likely be the 5th seed in the initial playoff rankings that are released on Tuesday November 5th.

Oregon didn’t flinch at home against top-20 opponent Illinois, and Penn State took care of business against Wisconsin despite losing Drew Allar in the second half. Texas held on to beat Vanderbilt, and Miami handled Florida State to stay perfect. Indiana moved to 8-0, beating Washington at home, and have on of their best starts in school history. Boise State beat UNLV on Friday night, and is the highest ranked group fo 5 team.

Big Ten teams ranked this week are Oregon (1st in both polls), Penn State (3rd in both Polls), Indiana (13th in both polls), and Illinois (24th in both polls).
