Ohio State Remains at 2nd in Both Polls heading into Week 13

Ohio State handled their business in Wrigley Field, and did not have any major injuries, which is a win across the board for the Buckeyes. With the win, they move to 9-1, and will host Indiana for their 3rd top 10 match up of the season, and will look to beat the Hoosiers to give them a path to the Big Ten Championship game. With minimal shake ups, the Buckeyes remained in 2nd place in both the Coaches and AP Poll, and will likely find themselves there as well for the CFP ranking on Tuesday.

There were a few upsets over the weekend, with the biggest being BYU losing to Kansas, which will knock them down in the playoff rankings, and will open the discussion if they would drop to the lost “conference champion” which would open the door for Boise State to be projected as the 4th seed. Georgia beat number 7 Tennessee at home to keep their SEC Championship hopes alive, and will have to wait and see how the rest of the conference shakes out since their last two games are against non-conference opponents, including Georgia Tech in the season finale.

Oregon had a small scare against Wisconsin, escaping Camp Randall with a 16-13 win and will not have a bye week after playing 8 weeks straight before playing old PAC-12 conference rival Washington. Clemson kept their playoff hopes alive as well after beating Pitt, and SMU survived a small scare this weekend. LSU lost to Florida, which took them out of the SEC Championship conversation, and put a definitive stamp on their Playoff hopes.

Big Ten teams ranked this week are Oregon (1st in both polls), Penn State (4th in both polls), Indiana (5th in both polls), and Illinois (24th in the AP Poll.)
